Lack of sleep and my odd health are not a good mix.
Anybody reading this is probably family or close friend who knows me in person and probably knows of my health, or lack thereof at times with crohn's disease.
I've been doing extremely well this last year, I only missed probably 15-20 days of school my senior year compared to the 80 my junior year and the 100+ each of the 2 years before that. So yeah, a dozen or so days is pretty miraculous. However, I still have my down days.
Today would most definitely be one. I almost blacked out at one point today. I won't go into detail, for this is the internet. But pretty much, my crohn's has been giving me a chronic problem in which I suddenly have really intense and debilitating pain and I lose a considerable amount of blood at once sometimes, and it almost happened today, but I resisted. But I saw the black dots swimming around and things got fuzzy, thought process was slowing down and I was in quite a bit of pain. I resisted and did what I could to keep anything unwanted from happening. I was still at youth conference at the time and was right about to go up and play my musical number on my cello before the testimony meeting. Not exactly the best time to be in this situation.
I'm feeling better now, just absolutely and entirely fatigued.
On the bright side, this doesn't happen very often. Bummer that it still happens sometimes, but not very often at all. Most of the time I can just be myself and not even remember I have this darn condition. :)
