A Stroke of Inspiration

After that last post, I thought of something.

There needs to be a dress store specifically for musicians. Even more specifically, soloists/special performances. Yes there are very elegant gowns out there, but so many of them are impractical for many musicians to wear. Even for those who play smaller instruments, like the violin and the flute and oboe/clarinet. There are fewer complications than a cellist or bassoonist or bassist may have, but they still need to be able to breath, have freedom of arm movement, and hopefully be modest.
So, I decided that some day when I'm a bit older and am through with school, I will combine my art skills and my passion and what will then be an even deeper and more intense knowledge of music. I will design dresses and gowns of all kinds of formality and season and size and what not and I will make them practical for musicians! They will largely be for cellists/other instrumentalists who need lots of space. I will have a best friend who can sew really well (haha......) and we will sell our dresses and run a business!

I have always liked drawing, and I've been saying for the last few years that if for some reason I could not do music as a career, I would be something along the lines of a designer, a fashion consultant or an interior design designer/consultant. Now, I more than likely will be doing music, unless I lose a hand. :P Then I'd probably still study music and be like a judge for stuff. But anyway, music will be my focus, and I can certainly have a useful hobby, like designing and maybe selling practical musician dresses. That would be so interesting.
