That thing that I've not been able to mention lately has finally come to pass. I enjoy my job at the Humane Society, however, the hours I have to work, plus my college schedule, plus my music/practice schedule, plus the homework I have to do, the scheduling they offer has just been a little overwhelming. It isn't very flexible, and there's not much they can do about it (nor should they, there are very good reasons for the ways they have to run a schedule). Before I even considered applying there, I was eager to apply for Dairy Queen, because I know it's a very friendly place, and I know some of the people who work there. Not that I want the job to be with friends or anything, but I know I'd be working with people, not only who I know and am comfortable with, but they know me, which could make starting a job be a bit less stressful.

That Thing
Also, at my current job, the work is rather physically demanding. I'm not quite in remission with crohn's disease (I say this with a sigh), and even though I'm healthy enough to obtain a job, I'm still in the recovery process from that first year of being seriously ill.
So anyway, lots of reasons. I was finally hired at Dairy Queen. I had an interview a few weeks ago, took a test last week (makes sure I'm not some kind of sociopath and understand basic math principles), got the call that I'm hired. I turned in my 2 weeks notice at the Humane Society, which I was kind of nervous for, I'd never done it before (obviously), but they were very relaxed about it, very understanding, for which I am SO grateful. It's just been an extremely hectic past 24 hours.
Also, more good news, the UWPlatteville Symphony Orchestra wants me to audition for them next week, which I will go do. :) I'm happy because I can do orchestra 3 times a week now! Sundays I'll have Youth Symphony, Tuesdays and Thursdays I'll have Platteville Symphony! Hallelujah I've been SO deprived from it this summer.
Gahhhh I've got so much to do. I'm going to make a list so that I can just at least get it out there and have it be written down somewhere....
Friday, September 4th: *RETURN UNEEDED TEXT BOOKS!!!*
7:30 - Wake up, leave early enough to be at cello lesson at 9. Remember to talk about audition times.
10:00 - Oral Interp class
11-12:30ish - eat lunch, practice, pick up a card at a place where I don't know where it is yet so that I can take yet ANOTHER required freshman test. (uggg they keep sending me these emails like, 2 days before I have to take these tests I've never even heard of, and they're all required. It ticks me off.. I have a life other than test taking, you know!! I missed a drs. appointment today and forgot about it BECAUSE of one of these stupid tests.)
1:00 - Hist/Lit of Music class. I did my reading. Need to check to see if there is anything I'm forgetting homework wise.
2-3 - make sure to get a refund for that yoga class that I can't take anymore because of UWPlatteville Symphony.
3:00 Recital Class. No clue what we do here. Also need to talk to them to see if it's ok if I either miss or leave early in 2 weeks so I can go to YSA tri-stake conference in Nauvoo. (wee I'm so excited for that!)
5:00 Barbeque gathering with adults/young adults that I'll be going to.
Saturday
7:00 - Wake up and be to work by a little before 8, work till noon.
That afternoon, do homework until the YSA BYU football gathering. Do that the rest of the evening.
Sunday
9-1 go to church
who knows if something will pop up.
Monday
make sure to check ahead of time about labor day parade info... I'll be in it supporting/advertising for a guy we know who is running for school board.
DO HOMEWORK.
Tuesday:
work in the morning 8-12 I think
Make sure crap load of homework is done for 2:00 class
I believe this is the day I audition for the Platteville Symphony.
blah. I'm sorry if you read all of that, but I needed to put it down somewhere in this kind of a format.
