Senior Recital Videos

There are some mistakes in there, and I'm extremely hard on myself and think I sound horrific. But everybody is telling me otherwise... I played it from memory and there were a few memory blanks in the performance, but for the most part it was alright.... could have been better. :( I played it much better at State Solo an Ensemble Competition, where I actually got a perfect score on it, I was so excited, I knew I did well and there was nothing harsh I could say about hte performance.. however this one.. again, could have been better. Enjoy?

This was one of the best performed out of the bunch, I've known it forever but it's one of my favorites to play, so I did this for part of my senior recital. I also played another piece by the same composer, Saint Saens, the Allegro Appassionato, which is the nexxt video. (and I'm now learning yet another piece by him that I will share later).

On my other blog, the Family of Priest's blog, I mentioned that I won the 2009 Dubuque Symphony Concerto Competition. This is the piece that I played and won with. I'm somewhat disappointed in this performance, but again, I am my own worst critic. I played it much much better at the competition audition. But this one isn't too bad.. I hit all the chords at the end! :) Just a few little memory blanks here and there again. Anyway, stop reading my poor critique and enjoy it!
