Moving

Tonight is our last night in our 1020 W 3rd St home. The old Queen Anne Victorian built around 1895-1901ish home. We're moving to a newer home with much more yard (4 1/2 acres of it!!!) and just overall an improvement. I'm gonna miss this house, I really like it. It's really big. I like having an attic bedroom, it's unique and fun. Though sometimes tedious when the birds make nests right on the other side of your wall and bats get in your room, it's livable. It's cool hearing hail on the roof :) But you know, I've had 7 years of this now and I think I'm good. Ready to move on.

It's interesting how it's worked out in my life, moving and my life.

I spent my infant/toddler years in one place. 3 houses but same town. I spent my "little kid" years (age 4-7) in Odessa. My "big kid" years (age 8-11) in Lubbock. I've spent my teenage years (12-18) in this house, and now I'm going to be moving to this next house to live my undergrad college/young adult years. When I graduate from Clarke I'll move out somewhere and probably go to school, rent an apartment or something. Get a job and/or get married, do whatever it is and go wherever it is the Lord wants me to go. May go on a mission. May not. I have no clue. Either way, these days are to prepare me for whatever may come.
And boy do plans change sometimes.
Long story short, I've met a guy, and things are falling into place. Totally was NOT expecting that to happen. Didn't even want it really. Wasn't looking, wasn't even desiring. I was completely prepared for 4 guy-less years (following the 18 I've already had...hahahahaha) I'm not sharing details because there are none. And this is the internet anyway. Other than I'm so excited to see him over spring break. :):):) So excited. So so so excited.

Ahhhh better get to bed. Elders quorum coming to help us move in the morning.

:)
Such a happy person these days. :)
:) :) :)
